Moving later in life is its own kind of move, and New Chapter Moving Company goes about it at a pace that respects that. Marisol started this company in 2015 to help Bridgeport families turn the page, and downsizing a longtime home (maybe leaving the East Side house of forty years for a smaller place near Seaside Park or a community out in Stratford) is exactly the kind of new chapter we’re built for. Our own crews are patient, uniformed, and used to working alongside families and adult children, in English or Spanish.
Unhurried, with the leftovers handled
We don’t rush a downsize. The hardest part is often deciding what comes and what doesn’t, so we move at your speed and never make you feel like the clock is the boss. Once you’ve sorted the keepers, we take care of the rest: we’ll deliver donations to a local charity and haul away what’s left so you’re not stuck with a garage full of furniture nobody’s coming back for. The keepers get the same careful treatment as any home move — padded, labeled by room, and set up in the new place so the first night feels settled. We’ll hang the curtains’ rods, make the bed, and put the kitchen where it makes sense, so there’s no first night spent searching for the coffee maker.
Pricing is the same honest scheme as the rest of our work: $155/hr for two movers, or flat bands by home size, with a $150 deposit that comes off your total. Released-value coverage is included and full-value protection is there if you want the extra cushion.
